Game guide · JNJPJZ

Making your first moves in Sevens

Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. The game area remains available above the explanation. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

An idea for your next attempt

Check the rule below as you play. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.

The goal to keep in mind

Use the controls beside the game rather than guessing the rules. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. The game area remains available above the explanation.

The steps to play

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

How to use the controls

Begin with the basic rule, then follow the result of your action. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled.

Work through an example

The board gives you the information needed for the next action. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

One detail worth checking

A careful first move helps you understand the round. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.
